  Pope-Leighey House
It was 77 degrees in DC on November 15th, so we just had to get out and enjoy the day. We drove down to VA to visit a small Usonian Frank Lloyd Wright house. (Excuse the typo in the slide show -- it's Leighey, not Leahy.)

  Sperryville
We traveled to our favorite B&B in Sperryville, VA with our good friends the Somobrights and the Hjeltaks for a weekend of relaxation before we all welcome new babies into our families.

  Pittsburgh Trip 2009
We missed out on our Pittsburgh trip last year, so we made sure to schedule it early this year. We had a great time, as always, with Lisa, Andy, Sadie, and Jonah.

  Cruise
We had a great time with Frank's parents and some relatives from Italy. Most important, we finally got to just relax!!!

  Boston
We enjoyed our trip to Boston -- a Christmas gift from the kitty cats. We visited Mary and Ben and also got to see Suzanne and Dave.

  Seattle and Vancouver
We visited Laura and Todd, Monica and Kevin, and the lovely cities of Seattle and Vancouver for hte final leg of our northwest vacation.

  Oregon
Tani and Rich introduced us to their new home state. We went to wineries, played on the beach, and fell in love with Portland.

Sonoma, the CA Coast, and Redwoods
We sipped some biodynamic wine and then headed for the coast where we walked among the redwoods and saw an elk!

  San Francisco
The first leg of our first "real" vacation since our honeymoon. Bahar and Satish were our gracious hosts and tour guides.

  Back to Sperryville!
We went back to Sperryville to enjoy the fall foliage. We stayed at the Hopkins Ordinary again, hiked in Shenandoah with Hussein and Nashua, got a private tour of Wasmund's distillery, and tasted wine at the Linden vineyard.

  Our First Anniversary
We went to Sperryville, VA for a weekend at the Hopkins Ordinary and dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. Then we came home for 4th of July fireworks in DC.

  Montreal
We met Mary and Ben in Boston and drove up to Montreal for Labor Day weekend. We had planned to take the train from DC but unfortunately Kristen's strep throat kept us at home for an extra day. We had a great time and felt very lucky we didn't have to cancel our trip!
